Evra on Manchester United

Former Manchester United and France international Patrice Evra said that Manchester United can face a difficult season if the team does not improve especially at the back. He said that he does not understand why the club did not sign more players during the transfer window.

In a previous interview, Patrice Evra stated that there was no chance that the current team can challenge for the title unless they bought new players and he said that the opening to this campaign has shown that he was right. He said that the team finished very far behind Manchester City last season and that they have failed to address their weaknesses.

Patrice Evra said that the team will have to find ways to improve if they do not want to fall behind in the league. He said that Manchester United can run the risk of not qualifying for the Champions League as their direct rivals have been investing massively in new players. He said that the team suffers from a lack of talent at the back and that this should have been addressed during the transfer window.

Patrice Evra said that although Jose Mourinho might be a good manager he will not be able to do miracles if he is not given the necessary backing in the transfer market. He said that the best thing to do is to try to win as many matches as possible until the January transfer window where the team might be able to bring in some new players.
He said that the team is really good as an attacking force with players such as Lukaku, Sanchez, and Pogba and it is at the back that they need to improve. He hopes that Mourinho find a solution to help the team win games or else it will be a very long season for the fans.
