Drogba Expects French Football to Reach Premier League Heights

Didier Drogba is best known around the world for his exploits with Chelsea after having represented the club as a player over two spells. He enjoyed immense success with the team by winning almost every major honour including the Premier League and Champions League. However, he started his career with French outfit Guingamp before moving onto Marseille. Even though he stayed there only for one year before moving on to Chelsea in 2004, Drogba seems to have learnt a lot of in his football career from his time in French football.

Unlike many of the star players who started out with high-profile clubs, Drogba was playing his football in the second division before he moved up the ladder. Towards the end of his career, Drogba had achieved immense success with Chelsea that he became a huge representative of the team in many ways. French teams have been unable to make a major impact in the European stage but Drogba thinks that Premier League was not in a too different state 20 years ago. Back then, Italian and Spanish clubs were dominating the European front and English teams were largely struggling to make any impact.

Patrice Evra is Being Investigated for Homophobic Insults

A complaint had been launched from association against Patrice Evra for hurling homophobic insults. This led to an investigation being launched. The incident took place when Paris Saint Germain was defeated by Manchester United, Evra’s former club in the Champions League. The office of the prosecutor has started investigating into the homophobic insults against Patrice Evra who insulted the PSG players. Legal complaints have been filed by 2 gay rights group against him. He had used a homophobic slur when he was taunting PSG.

The complaint was for the public insult that is homophobic in nature. It has been launched with the public prosecutor of Paris by 2 groups and this was being supported by Paris Foot Gay, a former amateur club.  Patrice Evra had made the comments on a video that had been posted on social media. He wrote, PSG is weird and the real men are doing the talking there.

Patrice Evra For Directorial Role As Per Fans

The fans of Manchester United are under the belief that the new director of the football club will be none other than Patrice Evra. The executive vice chairman of Old Trafford Ed Woodward is all set to appoint someone who can act as a linkman between the board members and Jose Mourinho to oversee transfers. Patrice Evra who is now 37-year-old claimed that it was a payback on the Spanish international after he had revealed his own league. Patrice Evra from the Manchester United team and one of its legends have made the sensational claim that he took a POO within former teammate Gerard Pique’s shoes.
