EVRA WARNS ETG ON NEW SIGNINGS

Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has warned new manager Erik Ten Hag (ETH) about what to expect in his new job. Patrice Evra talked about Ten Hag and the huge expectations that come with his new job as the Manchester United manager in a chat with the club’s media department. According to the Frenchman, it is a tough job, but he will have to make hard decisions.


On new signings, Patrice Evra advised Ten Hag that he needs to ensure that they are joining the club for the right reasons. In addition to finding the right players to improve his squad, they must have the right personality as revealed by Evra. The ex-Manchester United left-back said it is important to stay away from players who are after fame or money. He wants Ten Hag to go for players who are ready to fight for the Manchester United badge.

Evra spoke to the club’s media about Ten Hag shortly after the Dutchman was unveiled as the new Manchester United manager immediately after the latest Premier League campaign ended in May.

Manchester United have been linked with a lot of players since Erik Ten Hag was officially announced as the new manager. A lot of the players linked with the club worked with the Dutchman during his time at Ajax Amsterdam including Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong. It was reported by several media outlets that the Red Devils have made a bid for the Dutch international, but it was turned down by Barcelona who want more money for the player. The said bid was €60m as guaranteed transfer fee plus €10m in add-ons, but Barcelona are holding out for €80m to €85m for the player.Dr Jong worked with Ten Hag at Ajax before leaving for Barcelona some seasons ago. Current Ajax players such as Jurrien Timber and Antony have also been linked with United.
