PATRICE EVRA WARNS UNITED ON TOP FOUR CHANCES

Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has warned the club that they could suffer the danger of not being able to finish in the top four at the end of this season. The Red Devils have been putting in stuttering performances on the pitch this season, suffering shocking defeats and playing out embarrassing draws that have continued to hamper their chances of moving up the English Premier League table. Their last two matches in all competitions have seen them play out 1-1 draws against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup and Burnley in the league. In the game against Middlesbrough, they ended playing 30 extra minutes of football and eventually went into a penalty shootout as they were unable to edge out the lower-level team.

They eventually lost in the penalty shootout and crashed out of the cup competition, leaving them with just one chance of winning a title this season; the UEFA Champions League. With their current form, it is very hard to believe that they have what it takes whether individually or as a team to go all the way and clinch the European title but it is football and anything can happen.

Theur 1-1 draw against Burnley particularly stopped them from getting into the top four places and heading into their Saturday fixture against Southampton, they remain in 5th position right under West Ham United who are in 4th. In those two games against Middlesbrough and Burnley, United were prolific and attack-minded in the first-half of the two fixtures, however, after the break, they were unable to continue in that tempo and it led to them conceding equalizers.

According to Evra, if United continue to play in this way, they will find it extremely difficult and almost impossible to break into the top four and finish there this season.
