Ex-Manchester United defender Patrice Evra reunited with Sir Alex Ferguson earlier this week.Evra met with legendary Red Devils boss Ferguson over food and drinks to discuss several issues. Former French national team left-back Patrice Evra was in the company of his wife and child.

Evra signed for Manchester United from French club AS Monaco during the winter transfer window in January 2006. Sir Alex Ferguson was the Manchester United manager when Evra signed for the Red Devils. Ferguson gave his approval for the club to sign the Frenchman.

PartriceEvra struggled to perform well for Manchester United in the opening weeks before he adapted fully to the Premier League and became the first choice left-back at the Theatre of Dreams for many years. Evra won several major trophies under Sir Alex Ferguson including the 2007/08 Champions League title.

Evra and Manchester United saw off Premier League rivals Chelsea in the final to win that Champions League title. Cristiano Ronaldo gave the Red Devils the lead in the all-English Champions League final. It was the first time that two English teams will contest the Champions League final. The Italian Serie A and the Spanish La Liga had earlier achieved the feat of having two teams from a league in the same Champions League final before the 2008 edition in Moscow.

Frank Lampard is the all-time leading goalscorer in the history of Chelsea and one of his goals came against Manchester United in that 2008 Champions League final. Lampard scored to cancel out the opener from Ronaldo. The Red Devils eventually won the final on penalties after the two teams were inseparable at the end of extra time.

Apart from the Champions League title at the end of the 2008/09 season, Evra also wonfive Premier League titles under Ferguson at Manchester United.
