Evra Future At United In Doubt

The French defender Patrice Evra signed a one year contract extension with Manchester United some months ago but it remains doubtful if he will indeed remain at Old Trafford after being heavily linked with Juventus.

Juventus is interested in signing the veteran defender and reports originating from Italy are claiming that the team of Antonio Conte is willing to offer Patrice Evra a deal worth €3.5 million each year which might just be too much for the defender to pass up and his playing time at Manchester United is likely to be very limited as the Premier League club has already managed on signing the promising star Luke Shaw from Southampton with a price tag in the region of €30 million.

Louis van Gaal has already allowed Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic on leaving Manchester United as those were some of the more experienced and veteran defenders at Old Trafford and the Dutch manager could be considering on allowing leaving another one of their older players which can make for younger performers.

The ultimate decision will be on the hands of Patrice Evra as the French defender has to decide if he wants to play the last few years of his playing career at a club where his chances of playing are limited or somewhere where his chances on getting into the first team are guaranteed and he play an important role besides than just being a substitute player.

Antonio Conte does not want to pay a huge amount of money for a specific player in this summer transfer window and Patrice Evra remains well in his budget as the Frenchman can add experience and leadership into the team without having to break the bank.
