Suarez was banned for many games without pay because of Evra and created a
huge media circus which destroyed Suarez’s reputation. I honestly don’t
believe there was any real malice in what Suarez said. I think it’s a lot
like common banter we English normally have on the pitch, like saying ”
shut up fat cunt, ginger twat, stop being a puff ” It’s a misunderstood
situation blown entirely out of proportion by Evra. I’d have refused his
handshake too!
